Supported Ministries & Affiliates

During the past year, we have sensed God’s calling to partner more closely with the Awana
ministry in Jamaica as a way to promote international missions among the Awana clubs in Central
and Western Kansas. As part of this commitment, we are very excited to share with you an
opportunity we have been given to travel to Jamaica and see first-hand how God is using Awana
there to reach boys and girls for Christ.
On February 20-27, 2010, Kris and I will be joining a mission team from the West Evangelical
Free Church in Wichita on their 4th hard court trip to Jamaica.
Working with Radcliffe Braham, the national director for Awana in Jamaica, our team will travel to
Bethel Baptist Church in the town of Two Harbors. Bethel Baptist has a vibrant, active and
growing Awana program. While there, our primary mission will be to build
an outdoor concrete hard court that will be used by Bethel Baptist for
Awana games, youth activities, and other impact events. This trip will not
only include physical labor during the day, but also an outreach event
(Awana club, community Bible study, or VBS) in the late afternoon and
evening for the kids and youth in the local community. The hard court will
provide an effective tool to share the hope of the gospel to children, youth
and their parents that they might come to know, love and serve the Lord
Jesus Christ.
